Prompt

Say what you want in the box every agent starts from. Drop in the issue you are fixing and a screenshot to work from, name the branch it should come off, and ask for a worktree of its own - one sentence, and an agent is running.

Run

Start four agents on four tasks and let them work at once. Each gets its own Git worktree, so they never touch each other's files - and the sidebar holds every project, worktree and session in one list. Moving between them is a click, not a stash and a checkout.

Review

Read what each agent actually did before it lands. Its branch opens as a pull request beside your code - the checks, the description, the diff, the thread - and the other three keep working while you do.

Ship

Merge the ones that are ready and leave the rest running. The graph shows what came off main, what has landed and what is still out - four branches you no longer have to hold in your head.

Hyperlane is built on the VS Code engine, so it is a complete development environment before it is anything else. Disable every agent and it remains a full editor.

Language intelligence
Full LSP support. Go to definition, find all references, rename across the project, and diagnostics inline as you type.

Install from the marketplace. Themes, linters, language packs and formatters run unchanged.
Integrated terminals

Hyperlane is a full code editor built on the VS Code engine - language servers, the extension marketplace, integrated terminals and source control - so it does everything you open an IDE to do. On top of that it runs multiple coding agents in parallel, each in its own isolated Git worktree, and puts their work in one place to review. The agents are a feature of the editor, not the other way round.

The editor ships a catalog of agents it can install and launch for you: Claude Code, OpenCode, Cursor, Codex, Gemini CLI, Antigravity, Amp, Aider, GitHub Copilot, Grok, Droid, Goose, Cline, Continue, Auggie, Crush, Kilo Code, Qwen Code, Kimi, Kiro, Mistral Vibe, Codebuff, Command Code, Hermes, Pi and more. Beyond the catalog, Hyperlane runs any CLI based agent, as well as any agent that speaks the ACP (Agent Client Protocol).

Yes. Because Hyperlane runs on the VS Code engine, your settings, keybindings, and themes carry over.

Hyperlane never intercepts or transmits your API keys. For the CLI based agents you install, credentials are handled entirely by those CLI agents' own processes, and the same applies to any agent connected over the ACP protocol.

We chose to develop Hyperlane based on the source of VS Code and the reason behind this is that VS Code is what we open every morning, and it's what most developers actually use, including us. We did try building from scratch first, which meant building our own editor. We spent a good amount of our time working on LSP servers to work, along with intelligent code suggestions and semantic highlighting, and we were building it on Tauri for performance. Our first MVP worked well and we were really happy with it, but it was nowhere near production ready for daily use, and we were fixing more bugs than anything else, since that kind of work takes a ton of R&D and years of development.

After months of work, we got to a point where we were happy and had a great editor. But we kept running into how much of daily development depends on mature tooling. We personally use Prettier and Docker every day, and rebuilding that whole ecosystem of language servers, formatters, and the tooling around them ourselves, one at a time, would have taken years. At some point it became a choice between building the editor or rebuilding all of the tooling around it.

That's why building on the VS Code source was the decision we made. It was a hard one, leaving our own code behind and stepping into a project this large, but it means keybinds, language servers, and formatters all work out of the box. It also gives us the chance to build on years of engineering that's already been done, so we can spend all of our time on the features we actually wanted to add. Basing Hyperlane on the source of Visual Studio Code gives us that opportunity.
